Send booking confirmation emails from custom email

06.06.2017 12:16:22

Thanks to our latest upgrade, our L and VIP customers will be able to send booking emails from their custom domains.

To access this new feature go to > "Company" tab > "integrations" section > THIRD PARTY EMAIL SERVER

There you can introduce the email and password for your email account, as well as the "Outgoing (SMTP) Server", "Port" and "Authentication" method required for the integration.

Here is the host/port/authentication required for the most popular email providers:

GMAIL

  • Outgoing (SMTP) Server: ssl://smtp.gmail.com
  • Port: 465
  • Authentication: LOGIN

For making it work on Gmail these steps are also required:

  • Deactivate 2-step verification if you were using it
  • After login in your account click here to turn on access for less secure apps
  • Try reseting your password at least once if you are having problems to connect. Secure passwords are required (+8 characters long with uppercase, lowercase and numbers)

OUTLOOK

  • Outgoing (SMTP) Server: smtp.live.com
  • Port: 587
  • Authentication: StartTLS

YAHOO

  • Outgoing (SMTP) Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
  • Port: 465
  • Authentication: SSL

GODADDY

  • Outgoing (SMTP) Server: ssl://smtpout.secureserver.net
  • Port: 465
  • Authentication: LOGIN

1&1

  • Outgoing (SMTP) Server: smtp.1and1.com
  • Port: 587
  • Authentication: LOGIN

After adding your settings click on the button "Verify Connection". If response is successful check the checbox: "Activate" to start using the service.

Do a test booking and check your inbox to make sure the email was sent from the right address.

NOTE: If you're still unable to configure your external email server, please try it using Thunderbird. This mail manager will tell you where the problem is.

FREQUENT ISSUE: Many domains have a self-signed SSL certificate, without being purchased. This may cause a failure on the configuration. We recommend contacting the person who set up your email, or the email supplier, and do the following:

Solution 1: Delete the self-signed SSL certificate.

Solution 2: Buy the self-signed SSL certificate. In this case the Port will be different.
