How to create a business account on Viator and sell your services
In case you didn't know, Viator is one of the world's largest portals for selling excursions. It was acquired by TripAdvisor in 2014 and today it is the only company that accepts bookings on this portal. Just go to the activities section of TripAdvisor and you will see that the booking buttons are all from Viator.
One of the drawbacks for Spanish speakers is that Viator does not have documentation in English. But don't worry, we will help you step by step to create your account and configure it with your TuriTop booking system.
Please follow these steps:
Step 1: Create Account
Enter here to open your Activity Provider account on Viator and click here.
Step 2: Fill in your company details
This section is divided into three sections (Company Information, Additional Information and Contact Details). Please fill in all fields.
a. Company Information: Under "Company Category", if you are not sure which option to choose, choose the one you think best suits your business. This can be changed afterwards.
b. Additional Information: Where it says "Reservation System" choose your TuriTop reservation software. If you are not yet a user of our reservation system, please click here.
c. Contact Details: Write the contact details of the person you want Viator to contact.
Once you have filled in all the boxes click on "Sign-up
Step 3: Acceptance of agreement with Viator
Read the Viator documentation and if you agree, click the check box (I certify that I have read the Viator Supplier Agreement...) and then click on "ACCEPT.
Step 4: Wait for Viator to contact you
Once you have clicked on the button ACCEPT Viator will take you to this thank you page, where you will be told to wait for your details to be analysed and they will contact you. Do not expect to receive a confirmation email immediately. Please note that a company of this size receives thousands of requests per day, so please be patient.
Step 5: Receive Viator's email requesting more information
Viator will take from 24 to 48 hours (usually less but may be more in some cases) to send you an email asking you for the following (information may vary):
- Commissions:Would you accept 25% commissions?
- Insurance:Do you have liability insurance and what is your insurance coverage?
