Transaction fees apply only to online bookings/purchases. This includes those received via the:

  • Website
  • Marketplace
  • API
  • Back-office (only when an online payment is processed through a payment gateway)

Transaction Fee Calculation

The transaction fee is either a percentage of the final price of the booking/product or a minimum fixed rate, whichever is higher. Depending on your subscription plan:

  • Starter: 2% or €0.10 per booking/product
  • Pro: 1% or €0.06 per booking/product
  • Enterprise: 0.75% or €0.03 per booking/product

Special cases

  • Cancelled Bookings with Full Refunds: Only the minimum transaction fee per booking/product applies.
  • Back-office Bookings:  Transaction fees apply if an online payment is involved (e.g., payment requests via email, WhatsApp, etc.). Other back-office bookings are considered offline and are exempt from transaction fees.
  • Provisional Bookings: Bookings created within the system before the end-customer completes payment are not subject to transaction fees if payment is not finalized.

Definitions

  • Booking Types
    • Back-office bookings: Bookings inserted manually by staff within your company/panel. Bookings imported via CSV files also fall under this category.
    • Website bookings: Bookings received directly through your website.
    • Marketplace Bookings: Bookings made via our Marketplace and OTA integrations.
    • API Bookings: Bookings inserted through the API.
  • Final price: The total amount paid by the end-customers for an experience/product, including taxes and after discounts. Transaction fees are based on the final price.
  • Courtesy account: A free account with limited functionality, provided to certain suppliers and resellers, to allow companies on a paid plan to connect with suppliers on external reservation systems.
  • Booking/product: Each item sold in a purchase. Example: A single online purchase of a “Winery Tour” for three people plus one bottle of wine consists of two booking/products (one for the “Winery Tour” and one for the bottle of wine).

A provisional transaction fee is calculated when the booking is created. The final transaction fee is based on the final price on the event date.

Transaction fees are calculated based on the final price at the time of the event, but are charged on the 1st of the following month when the invoice is generated.

  • Resellers on any plan can book products from suppliers with a paid plan at no cost.
  • Suppliers on a paid plan cover the full transaction fee for bookings of their products/experiences resold by resellers.
  • Resellers on a paid plan must cover the full transaction fee when booking from suppliers with courtesy accounts.

Yes, sure! You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time.

The transaction fee is charged according to the plan which was active at the time of booking creation. If a subscription plan changes mid-month, the new plan will apply to bookings from the 1st of the next month.

Our company is located in Canary Islands (Spain) where different VAT regulations apply to those in the rest of the European Union. Therefore, all our invoices have VAT 0%.

If your company is based in the Canary Islands, like TuriTop, your invoice will include 7% IGIC. Companies from the rest of the EU and abroad have 0% VAT and 0% IGIC.

Yes. TuriTop charges commissions on payments in line with our pricing plans as defined above. TuriTop integrates with major payment gateways to let you accept online payments in a safe, encrypted way. Each payment gateway also normally charges a fee to process payments for you.

Yes, sure. You can upgrade your plan anytime. Downgrades from the Pro and Enterprise plan are available once your initial commitment has been completed.
