What if…?

Special Cases

Six scenarios to keep in mind: cancellations, partial payments, pending bookings…

View the 6 cases
Cancelled Bookings
Only the minimum rate per booking/product applies.
Partial online payment
The fee is calculated based on the total amount, not just the portion paid in advance.
Online bookings starting at €0
No percentage applies, but the minimum per product does.
Back-office with online payment
A fee applies if payment was made online (e.g., payment link via email).
Pending Bookings
No fee is charged if the online payment is not completed.
Marketplace and Resellers
Resellers do not pay a fee for third-party products. The supplier pays it.

Frequently asked questions

Plans and free trial

Is there a minimum contract term or a commitment to stay for a certain number of months?

None. You pay month to month and can request cancellation anytime from your dashboard; it takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. No long-term contracts or penalties for downgrading your plan.

Is there a free trial before I pay?
Yes, 14 days free with all features active and no card required to get started. An expert guides you through the setup during the trial.
Do any plans limit the number of bookings?
No. No plan limits the number of bookings. The differences between Starter, Pro and Enterprise are in the transaction fee and some advanced features. See the comparison table above.

Compatibility and plan changes

Is TuriTop compatible with WordPress?
Yes. TuriTop is compatible with WordPress and virtually any CMS on the market. You can embed the booking calendar on your website with no plugin required. The widget works on any plan, including Starter.

If you use WordPress with WooCommerce, on the Pro and Enterprise plans you can use the TuriTop WooCommerce plugin (in beta; requires a compatible WooCommerce version and technical setup) to leverage the WooCommerce structure — its payment methods, cart, and checkout flow.
Can I switch plans if I need to?
Yes, you can change your plan any day from the dashboard, except the 1st of each month (billing day).
What happens if I upgrade to a higher-tier plan in the middle of the month?

Rates follow the active plan at the time the booking is created. The new plan takes effect immediately after the change.

What happens if I switch to a lower-tier plan in the middle of the month?

Rates follow the active plan in effect at the time the booking is created. The new plan takes effect on the 1st day of the following month.

Transaction fees

When are transaction fees charged?

Fees are calculated based on the final price at the time of the event, but they are charged on the 1st of the following month, when the invoice is issued.

What about the fees for edited bookings?

When the booking is created, a provisional transaction fee is calculated. The final fee amount is based on the price on the date of the event.

Who pays the fee for Marketplace bookings?

Resellers do not pay a fee for selling products from other suppliers. The fee is paid by the supplier who receives the booking (if they have an active paid plan). If the supplier uses a courtesy account, the reseller is responsible for the fee.

What happens if I sell in currencies other than the euro?

Currency conversion occurs when the invoice is generated on the 1st of each month. Until then, the rates displayed in the dashboard are provisional estimates. If the minimum per booking/product applies, it is calculated using the exchange rate on the invoice date.

Are taxes included in the transaction fee?

Yes, the fees are calculated based on the final price, including taxes and discounts.

How are fees calculated for bookings made through OTAs like Viator or GetYourGuide?

They are calculated based on the final price of the booking, just like any other online booking.

Is a fee charged if a customer makes a booking online but does not pay online?

Yes. The fee applies to all online bookings/purchases, regardless of the payment method, because the booking was generated through the widget on your website. That classifies it as an online booking.

Billing and settlement

When are transaction fees billed?
Transaction fees are billed in arrears and are always calculated based on the event date, not the booking date. This means that, as a rule, a month's invoice includes the transaction fees for events that took place during the previous month.

Example: a booking made in April for an event held on June 15 will be included in June's billing, issued in July.
What happens to transaction fees if I freeze or cancel my account?
When an account is frozen or cancelled, a final settlement invoice is generated that includes all transaction fees still pending invoicing. This invoice may include:
  • Transaction fees for events of the previous month that had not yet been invoiced.
  • Transaction fees for future events already booked that would normally have been invoiced in later months.
This way, freezing or cancelling the account settles in a single step all pending transaction fees tied to existing bookings.
Why can the final invoice include transaction fees from several months?
Because transaction fees are normally billed based on the event date, in arrears. However, when the account is frozen or cancelled, pending fees for future events are brought forward and included in the final invoice.

Example: if you cancel your account in June and you have confirmed bookings for events in June, July, and August, the final invoice may include both the pending transaction fees for events already held and those for the future events in July and August that had not yet been invoiced.

VAT and extra costs

Do TuriTop's prices include taxes?

Are there any extra costs when signing up?
The setup fee covers the initial dashboard configuration and the onboarding needed to get started. Contact us to review your case.
