In case you didn't know, Viator is one of the world's largest tour booking sites. It was acquired by TripAdvisor in 2014, and today it is the only company that accepts bookings on that site. Just go to the activities section on TripAdvisor, and you’ll see that all the booking buttons are from Viator.
One drawback for Spanish speakers is that Viator doesn’t offer documentation in Spanish. But don’t worry—we’ll help you step by step to create your account and set it up with your TuriTop booking system.
Please follow these steps:
Step 1: Create an Account
Go here to open your Viator Activity Supplier account and click here.
Step 2: Fill in your business information
This section is divided into three parts (Company Information, Additional Information, and Contact Information). Fill in all the fields.
a. Company Information: Under “Company Category,” if you’re not sure which option to choose, select the one you think best describes your business. You can change this later.
b. Additional Information: Under “Booking System,” select your TuriTop booking software. If you are not yet a user of our booking system, please click here.
c. Contact Information: Enter the contact information for the person you want Viator to contact.
Once you’ve filled in all the fields, click “Sign-up”
Step 3: Accepting the Viator Agreement
Read the Viator documentation, and if you agree, check the box (I certify that I have read the Viator Supplier Agreement…) and then click “ACCEPT”.
Step 4: Wait for Viator to contact you
Once you’ve clicked the ACCEPT button, Viator will take you to this thank-you page, where it will inform you that you’ll need to wait while they review your information and that they’ll contact you. Don’t expect to receive a confirmation email right away. Keep in mind that a company of this size receives thousands of requests every day, so please be patient.
Step 5: Receive an email from Viator requesting more information
It will take Viator 24 to 48 hours (usually less, but it may take longer in some cases) to send you an email asking for the following (the information may vary):
- Commissions: Would you accept a 25% commission?
- Insurance: Do you have liability insurance? What is your insurance coverage?
Additional Information:
If you click on this link, you’ll find more information about your Viator account (how and when you receive payments, how to create new products, etc.).
Tip: You can contact Viator’s technical support by emailing suppliers@viator.com or by calling +34 947918233.
You’ve already taken the first step toward selling through the Viator portal. Wait for their response to set up your account, and finally connect it to your TuriTop booking system.
